Governor's Cup will be coming up in a little over a month. Maybe we could be thinking of putting together a team to participate. I think it could be fun. Keep it in mind. Also the Race for the Cure is coming up soon, like May the 19th. Are there any of you intending to be in that one?


Fatty Fish Reduces The Risk of Fatal Heart Attack Among the Elderly

Fatty fish, such as salmon, is definitely in but fried fish of any kind is out, when it comes to a heart healthy diet according to new findings. Researchers say that one or more servings of fatty fish per week reduce the risk of having a fatal heart attack among the elderly.
The fatty fish, such as tuna, salmon, sardines, and mackerel are rich in good fats called Omega - 3 fatty acids. David Siskovick, M.D., professor of medicine and epidemiology at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, senior author of this study, said, "We found that those who consumed fatty fish one or more times a week had a 44% lower risk of fatal heart attack. But we couldn't demonstrate any association between fried fish and the lowered risk of having a fatal heart attack."
Researchers studied nearly 4,000 men and women over the aged 65 who are involved in the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute's Cardiovascular Health Study. The participants were fol
